Welcome to Scissett Youth Amateur Swimming Club
Would you like to improve your swimming technique, learn personal survival, water safety, water polo or just continue swimming?
Scissett Youth Amateur Swimming Club (SYASC) is based at Scissett Swimming Baths in Scissett, Huddersfield. We provide swimming tuition for children from the age of 6 years.
Who Are We?
We are a non profit club that has been running for over 40 years and hold club nights every Tuesday and Friday, from 7.15pm to 9.15pm. We take new members from the age of 6.
Due to measures beyond our control all new members must be able to swim to the ASA’s Stage 5 Criteria. (We can assess this if you come down for a free trial on a club night)

With Scissett Youth Amateur Swimming Club you can improve your swimming in a friendly, relaxed environment without any pressure to compete.
We are a swimming instruction club, not a competitive club & have been running since 1969
We are affiliated to the STA & RLSS.
We are run by a committee of volunteers and parents, meetings are held approximately once a quarter – All parents are welcome to attend.
All swimming staff are qualified swimming teachers and/or lifeguards providing all types of swimming instruction.
